Horus Academy

Independent Conservatory

The Independent Conservatory follows the same curriculum as the Professional Conservatory, but it is not age-restricted. It is designed for students who want to pursue music at a professional level, but whose age does not fit the Professional Conservatory age requirements.

Program Structure
– 1 Initial Grade, followed by 8 additional grades (9 levels total)
Lesson Format
All instruction is delivered through private lessons, which include:
– Technique
– Music theory
– Ear training
– Sight reading
Lesson duration is adjusted based on the student’s level.

Billing
This program is billed monthly.

Initial Grade
Weekly: 30 min private lesson
Monthly group musicianship class
Tuition: $850/semester – can be paid monthly (4 payments of $212.5)

Tuition: $1200/semester – can be paid monthly (4 payments of $300)

Exams & Promotion
There will be exams at the end of every level that must be passed to move on to the next level.
Attendance Policy
Students are allowed 8 absences per school year. Absences can be made up through group lesson make-ups on Saturdays.
School Year
The school year starts at the beginning of September and ends in June.
