Peter Tous’s Teaching Philosophy

Peter Tous is the founder of Horus Academy and a music educator with over 12 years of teaching experience. He believes music education can build discipline, confidence, creativity, and perseverance.

Peter challenges his students with a clear purpose. He does not make lessons difficult simply for the sake of difficulty. Instead, he encourages students to move beyond their comfort zones and discover their potential.

His teaching approach combines structured instruction, consistent practice, clear expectations, and personal support. Each challenge gives students an opportunity to develop both musical ability and self-confidence.

Throughout his career, Peter Tous has worked with students of different ages, skill levels, and musical goals. These experiences have shaped his belief that every student needs a clear path for long-term development.

Why Peter Tous Founded Horus Academy

While working at other music schools, Peter noticed a major gap in private music education. Many schools did not pay enough attention to curriculum quality. Some students received lessons without clear goals, structured progress, or measurable results.

Peter also saw how financial barriers limited access to music education. Many talented students had the passion and dedication to learn. However, they did not always have the resources to continue their training.

These experiences inspired Peter to found Horus Academy.

Horus Academy has two central goals. First, the academy provides high-quality music education to students in the Boston area and online worldwide. Second, it supports talented students who may lack the financial resources to pursue music.

The academy offers a structured and results-oriented curriculum. At the same time, instructors consider each student’s strengths, interests, and learning style. Students develop musical skills while also building discipline, resilience, and confidence.

At its heart, Horus Academy focuses on empowerment. Peter wants students, instructors, team members, and community members to grow through music. His mission is to create an environment where people can pursue excellence and receive meaningful support.
